Stuff I Needed

Here is the stuff I needed for the backdrop stand. A few 90s, 45s, tees and cross tees, two-6 foot and one-12 foot extendable painter's poles. Drill, ratcheting PVC cutter, PVC glue and metal pipe clamps. Not shown is a hacksaw, Dremel and file. Total cost: about $40.

Rough Fit

Here is a rough fit of the PVC fittings and pipe pieces. I hope you aren't looking for measurements, I was guessing as I went along.

Completed Backdrop Stand

Here is the completed stand. The clamps keep the horizontal pole from sliding out. I can achieve a 12' width and a 6' height. Also inherent in the design of the base is the ability to ballast it to keep it upright.
